We are proud to present the first radio interview with Pablo A. Bravo, author of Espirales, El Juego del Poder (Spirals, The Game of Power). The interview is quite extensive, so we have prepared five installments. Pablo tells us about the story's origins, his motivation, the creative process, what he has encountered along the way in the self-publishing process, and what advice he has for those of us who, like him, love literature and are taking that first step to share our stories with readers.

  1. Today we're with Pablo A. Bravo, author of Spirals, The Game of Power. Let me tell you first that I read the whole book and I loved it. I know that many people who love suspense novels, thrillers, and dark romance are going to love it. It comes out next Friday, right?

That's right, it goes on sale next Friday, December 5th, on Amazon.com. It will be available worldwide in Spanish and in eBook, paperback, and hardcover formats. But for those who want a first look, the first five chapters can be downloaded for free by registering beforehand at www.espirales.com.ar.

  2. Excellent! Congratulations! We want to know—and I speak not only for myself but also for the audience—about the origin of Spirals. Could you tell us what the initial spark was—an image, a phrase, an experience that made you think, "There's a novel here"—and how that idea evolved into Spirals?

It's difficult, because I don't know if there was a specific trigger. This was a story that evolved in my subconscious over time. They were small, loose ideas that gradually came together and solidified. More than one trigger led me to write Spirals. I had already tried writing other stories, but none of them felt solid; however, with Spirals it was different from the beginning. I wrote the first chapter and said: Here it is, this is the way!

  3. And what about the central theme? Beyond the plot, what would you say is the central theme or philosophical question you longed to explore with Spirals, and why did you feel the need to address it through fiction?

Evolution and resilience. Those were the two pillars of this story. I'm convinced that everyone, absolutely everyone, has the capacity to do what they dream of, and even what they've never dared to dream of. There are countless ways to approach these themes, but I wanted to write a love story wrapped in a suspenseful plot. That's how Spirals was born.

In the next post, we'll learn a little more about the journey behind the creation of Espirales.

Don't miss it!
